Position Overview

The Funeral Director works directly with families from the first call through the completion of services. This role requires strong communication skills, excellent organization, and the ability to lead services with professionalism and compassion.

Responsibilities

  • Meet with families to arrange funeral and memorial services
  • Direct funeral, memorial, and graveside services
  • Coordinate with clergy, cemeteries, crematories, and internal staff
  • Prepare and complete required documentation and permits
  • Provide compassionate guidance and support to families throughout the service process
  • Ensure every service is carried out with dignity and attention to detail

Qualifications

  • Current North Carolina Funeral Director license required
  • Professional presence and strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication and listening ability
  • Organized and dependable
  • Team-oriented with a strong commitment to serving families
  • Interest in long-term professional growth and leadership opportunities
