Earnest "Peanut" Lee Yow
November 26, 1946 ~ April 9, 2020
Earnest Lee Yow of Raeford, passed away on Thursday, April 9, 2020, at the age of 73.
Earnest or Peanut, as he was affectionally known, was born on November 26, 1946, to the late Earnest Rubin and Martha Ellen Taylor Yow. Peanut enjoyed being outdoors hunting, fishing or simply working around his house on various projects. He especially loved tinkering on machines. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Ronald Brown, and his sister, Linda Moore.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his dear wife, Pearl of the home; his son, Earnest Yow, Jr.; his grandchildren, Hunter, Kristin, Melissa Yow; his sister, Carol Norton; his brother William Brown, and a host of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at 2:00 pm on Saturday, November 6, 2021, at Crumpler Funeral Home-Aberdeen.
My handsome daddy (godfather) lord you will never be forgotten there will always be a hole in my heart, for you. You was best daddy in the world anybody could ask for. You stepped up to that role(daddy) that you didn’t have to , but you did. You taught me more than you could ever imagine. Down to fixing vehicles. Which I pass down to my kids. But most of all respect and love . Which I know I got another guardian angel watching over me. So until we meet again just know I will miss you and love you always
Peanut will always hold a special place in my heart. Not only was he my cousin, he was my friend. A friend who made me laugh when we were growing up. Even though I did not get to see him after I moved away he was always in my thoughts. I loved him very much and will always remember him.
