Larry Wayne Peavy
February 28, 1948 ~ December 18, 2021
Larry Wayne Peavy, 73, of Aberdeen NC, passed peacefully surrounded by loved ones, on Saturday, December 18, 2021.
Larry was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, a correctional officer for 27+ years with the NC Department of Corrections, where he made many friends, as well as an Air Force Veteran.
Larry is preceded in death by his parents Charles and Sadie Peavy, a brother Chuck Peavy, and a sister Gail Peavy.
He is survived by his wife, Georgianna Peavy of Aberdeen NC, his daughters Lori Peavy, Elizabeth Garner, and Lisa Greene all of NC, grandchildren Alexus Peavy, Cassidie Peavy, Zachary Garner, Tyler Ramey, Kiersten Barber all of NC, Madilyne Harrington, and Chloe Harrington of TX; and siblings Claudia Anderson, Danny Peavy, and Wendy Carroll all of NC.
A celebration of Larry's life will follow sometime in the near future.
I was a CNA that took care of Larry. He was always friendly to me and I was blessed to get to know him. My prayers are with the whole family.
