Karla Denise Blanton

Karla Denise Blanton of Cameron passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at the age of 60.
Karla was born on May 31, 1963, to the late Carson and Grace Griggs Currie. She was a graduate of Pinecrest High School and worked for what is now Mitsubishi Chemical in Greenville, SC. Karla enjoyed going to the beach and was a die-hard motorcycle rider. She loved music and will be remembered for her style. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Wayne Campbell.
She leaves behind her sons, Jacob Blanton and his fiance, Mackey McKenzie of Pinehurst, Jaden Davenport of Aberdeen; her siblings, Charlene Venable, Robin Craven her spouse, Johnny, Kim Davenport and her spouse, John; her grandsons, Carson and Wyatt Blanton; her niece, Tonya Michelle Venable; her nephew, John Craven, Jr.; and a host of friends.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, December 5, 2023, beginning at 11:00 am at Liberty Christian Church, 1810 Quewhiffle Rd, Aberdeen, NC 28315. The family will receive friends one hour before the service.
KC you forever be loved and missed – we were lifetime friends – cousins but more like sisters – we could go days upon days and not speak but pick up anytime like we talked last night – From our days riding bikes – going to Qwiffles – putt putt – riding back roads in the EXP to growing up and becoming grandparents – I probably better than anyone know your pain – But you are now home with your Daddy and Mom – Resting in Peace – Prayers for all my family and friends afftected – I will love you all forever
