David Nelson Roberts, affectionately known as “Bubba”, age 70, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, April 22, 2025.

David was a true outdoorsman who found joy in nature—whether riding his tractor, fishing, or hunting. He was also a passionate NASCAR fan, never missing a race and always cheering on his favorite drivers.  David will be remembered for his kind heart, deep love for his family, and the simple pleasures that brought him happiness.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 38 years, Linda Fipps Roberts of Cameron; stepdaughter, Christy Scarboro (Tommy) of West End; brother, Robbie Roberts, III (Diane Martin Roberts) of Cameron; three sisters, Barbara Roberts Coe of Cameron, Sandra Roberts Abernathy (Ray) of Catawba County, and Judy Lynn Roberts of Sanford; two grandchildren, Gracie and Jonathan Scarboro; and several beloved nieces and nephews.
