Jean Rambeaut McDonald, 88, passed away peacefully at her residence on Tuesday, May 6, 2025.
Born to the late R.C. and Virgie Holland Rambeaut, Jean was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John McDonald (1983); her children, Danny McDonald and Sue McDonald; her granddaughter, Angie Seawell; her sisters, Vonnie Mangum and Lillie Edgerton; and her brothers, Tom and Ray Rambeaut.
Jean dedicated 29 years of her life working as a skilled seamstress at Cross Creek Apparel. She found great joy in cooking and sewing, and was especially proud of the many quilts she lovingly crafted over the years. Above all, Jean adored her family and held fast to her Christian faith, which guided her throughout her life. Her warmth, kindness, and unwavering love for those around her will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
Jean is survived by her sons, Jimmy and Jerry McDonald, of Cameron; and her grandchildren, Gary Seawell, Dana Avonce, Danny McDonald, Tina Goins, Crystal Temple; ten great-grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, May 9, 2025, at Fry and Prickett Funeral Home with Reverend John Brown officiating. The burial will follow the service at Cross Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
