Travis Lee Scott, 52, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, May 8, 2025.

A native of Moore County, Travis was the beloved son of John and Louise Allred Scott. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and his nephew, Dawson Maness.

Travis was a gifted mechanic who worked at Cooper Ford. He was passionate about the outdoors—an avid fisherman and hunter. Known for his quick wit, he loved to pick on folks and share a good joke.  Travis fought a courageous battle with cancer for many years, facing it with resilience and determination.  His humor and strength were hallmarks of a life well lived.

In addition to his parents, Travis is survived by his sister, Rita Maness (Teddy) of Robbins, nephew, Daniel Maness, and niece, Dana Maness.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on May 12, 2025, at Bascom Chapel, 543 Bascom Chapel Road, Robbins, NC 27325.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 11, 2025, at Kennedy Funeral Home.

  6. Travis was just a all around great person. You could be having a bad day and he could put a smile on your face and make you laugh till you cry. Glade I was able to have the opportunity to get to know Travis through my best friend (Melissa Gilmore).
