Anna Mae Eimer (Corliss)

Beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Sister, Aunt and Friend

Anna Mae Eimer (Corliss), a resident of Southern Pines,  passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of January  11, 2026, at UNC Rex Hospital in Raleigh-Durham, North  Carolina. Her final days were spent in the loving care of her  devoted daughter Pam, who remained by her side with  unwavering love and grace.

Born and raised in Bridgeton, New Jersey, Anna was a twin  and carried the unique closeness of that bond throughout her  life. From an early age, she exuded a gift for making others  feel welcome—a quality that would become a hallmark of her  life as a devoted mother, grandmother, friend, and hostess.

Anna found her greatest joy in caring for her family and  turning everyday moments into lasting memories. She had a  passion for children and delighted in doing crafts, reading  books, singing songs, and taking the little ones to the  playground—always engaging them with a warm heart, gentle  patience, and a playful spirit. Being near the water always  brought a smile to her face; whether relaxing at the shore,  enjoying the beach, or simply lounging by the pool, it brought  her peace and happiness. Anna truly cherished hosting lively  gatherings and had a remarkable talent for decorating her  home with taste, charm, and a style worthy of Better Homes  and Gardens. Her home wasn’t just beautifully arranged—it  was filled with love, laughter, and over the last decade, the  faithful companionship of her loyal dog, Holly.

She was the devoted wife of the late John Eimer, with whom  she shared a lifetime of love and partnership. Together, they  raised a large and prosperous family. Anna is survived by her  children: David (his late wife Joan), Gary (Patty), Pam (Bob),  Phyllis (Tim), Greg (Teresa), and John (Jennifer). She was a  proud grandmother to Zach, Amanda, Ashlee, Sarah, Austin,

Robby, Alex, Aiden, Alina, and JD, and a joyful great grandmother to seventeen great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Eimer; her  father, John E. Corliss; her mother, Mae Corliss (Hemple); her  sister, Martha Scull; and her son, Paul Eimer.

To those who knew her, Anna was more than a mother and  matriarch—she was the heartbeat of every gathering, the  force behind countless memories, and a warm light in every  room she entered. With a heart full of love, she created a  home that celebrated life, nurtured others, and welcomed all.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered with love,  admiration, and heartfelt gratitude by all who had the blessing  of knowing her.

Powell Funeral Home is serving the Eimer family.
