Danny Ray McDonald, 47, passed away on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at his residence in Sanford, North Carolina.
He was born to Danny and Cindy Garner McDonald on May 3, 1978, in Moore County. Danny was an outdoorsman; he hunted and loved fishing. He especially loved dogs; he had a quiet communication with them that they instantly liked him, which came in handy when delivering propane to clients’ homes. When his sons were younger, he loved attending their sporting events and spending time with them.
Danny is preceded in death by his father, Danny Joe McDonald; his grandparents, John McDonald and Jean Rambeaut McDonald; and his grandparents, Farrell Garner and Flonnie Maie Maness Garner.
He is survived by his sons, Tristan (Breanna) McDonald of Eagle Springs, and Levi (Logan) McDonald of Eden; his mom, Cindy Garner of Robbins; his sister, Lisa Morgan of Robbins; his grandson, Koal McDonald; and a second grandchild due in March.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, January 26, 2026, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The service will be held at Fry & Prickett Funeral Home in Carthage with Pastor Bryan Maness officiating.
