Wilma Chalflinch McNeill
September 11, 1946 ~ April 8, 2026
Wilma Chalflinch McNeill, 79, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, surrounded by her family.
Wilma was born on September 11, 1946, to J.R. and Gertrude Chalflinch. Over the years she worked in retail and managed the Davis Community Center for the elderly, where she made many wonderful friends. She was a devoted member of Flint Hill Baptist Church for the past 55 years. Wilma loved her church and truly considered them her family. She enjoyed reading her Bible every day and loved singing church hymns. She loved being in the kitchen and cooked for her family every Sunday. Some of her favorite sweets to make were chocolate pies and persimmon pudding.
Wilma loved being a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother more than anything. Her daughter and granddaughters, whom she lovingly called “her girls,” were her greatest joy. She cherished going to the beach with them each summer and watching the sunrise. Many memorable moments were made that will never be forgotten.
She is survived by her daughter, Jeanne McNeill Maness and husband Marty of Robbins; granddaughters, Stephanie Maness and husband Trevor Maness of Robbins, and Brooke Maness Monroe and husband Ashton Monroe of Robbins; great-grandchildren, Hazel Maness, Oakley Maness, and Archer Maness; sisters, Emma Carol Sweet of Robbins and Mae Moore of Troy; and brothers, Jimmy Chalflinch of Carthage and Sammy Chalflinch of Goodview, VA.
Wilma was preceded in death by her loving husband of 48 years, Roy McNeill; her parents, J.R. Chalflinch and Gertrude Brown Chalflinch; and her brothers, William Harold Chalflinch of Robbins, Luther Farrell Chalflinch of Wallace, SC, and Johnny Way Chalflinch of Robbins, NC.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, April 12, 2026, at Flint Hill Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 2:00 PM.
Kennedy Funeral Home is serving the McNeill family.

She made the best persimmon pudding. The last time we visited with her, she had made Tommy a persimmon pudding. She had Jeanne bring her to our house, she didn’t want to get out of the car… so we went out to visit with her. It was a wonderful evening & we are so thankful for that memory. Prayers for the family. Heaven has gained a beautiful angel.
So sorry praying for the family love 💘
May God bless each of you & you have peace & comfort during this time .
