Patricia Beck Kennedy

patricia kennedy

November 24, 1951 ~ May 5, 2026

Patricia Gail Beck Kennedy, 74, of Asheboro, North Carolina, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, May 5, 2026. She was born in Robbins, NC on November 24, 1951 to Ima Hussey Beck and William Walter Beck, both of whom preceded her in death.

Patricia (nicknamed Trishy) was a vibrant and spirited young woman. She graduated from North Moore High School, where she was a member of the Letter Girls pom-pom team. Her joy, energy, and love for life were evident from a young age and remained throughout her lifetime. Her early love of learning, creativity, and service shaped the path she would follow. Patricia went on to become a devoted homeschool teacher and lifelong caregiver, always investing in the growth and well-being of others.

Patricia’s greatest and longest professional calling was through Kennedy In-Home Day Care, where she lovingly cared for and taught countless children over the years. Many of those children grew up under her guidance and continue to remember her as a second mother figure. Her care and influence extended across generations, as she welcomed children of former families into her care as well. Patricia had a natural gift for beauty, organization, and people. She brought that talent to her work in floral design at a local Asheboro Lowes Foods, where she helped build the floral department into a leading department in the state. Her work reflected care, creativity, and a genuine desire to make life’s special moments even more meaningful for others.

Much of Patricia’s life was also dedicated to serving her church community. She faithfully served in numerous roles, including church nursery worker, member of the church food team, and active participant in church social and food events. She was also entrusted with organizing church greeters, ensuring that others were welcomed warmly at the door each Sunday. Her heart for service extended into ministry as well. Patricia taught and signed a Sunday School class for deaf children, sharing both faith and fellowship in an inclusive and compassionate way.

Patricia is survived by her two sons, Bryan Kennedy (Lisa) and Caleb Kennedy (Keri); her grandson, Ryan Kennedy (Kaylee); and her beloved great-granddaughter, Elouisa. She is survived by her cherished grand-dog, Sprinkles, and her grand-cats, Nilla and Sparkles. Her beloved grand-dog, Dudley, preceded her in death just a few days before her passing. She is also survived by her four devoted sisters: Jackie Caviness, Phyllis Beck, Jane English, and Sherrie Flinchum and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Patricia will be remembered for faith, creativity, service to others, and lifelong dedication to teaching, caring, and welcoming people into her life and community.

A funeral service will be 2:30 PM, Monday, May 11, 2026 at Smyrna Church. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 1:00 PM. Burial will immediately follow the service at the Smyrna Church Cemetery in Robbins.
