Jeannette Christine Durham, age 90, a lifelong resident of Chatham County, passed away peacefully at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, where she had been cared for the last few years.

Jeannette was born on December 7, 1935, to the late James Durham and Jenney Hackney (Durham, Clark). She was also a longtime assistant manager/attendant at Service Distributors’ gas station in Pittsboro and worked in food services at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill.

She is survived by her sons, Rocky Wright of Sanford, Rick Stambach and wife Medelia of Pittsboro; granddaughters Melanie Festa and husband Raymond of San Francisco, CA, Miriam Larsson and husband Daniel of Cary; and her sister, Gaynell Martin, and brother Bobby Durham

A graveside service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 10, 2026, at Lee Memory Garden in Sanford, with Pastor Mario Reatequi officiating.
