James Farrell Hussey

August 24, 1951 ~ June 27, 2026

James Farrell Hussey, 74, of Robbins, North Carolina, passed away on Saturday, June 27, 2026.

Born on August 24, 1951, at Montgomery Memorial Hospital, Farrell was the son of the late James “J.C.” Hussey and Nora “Teenie” Hussey. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and man of strong faith.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sandra Garner Hussey; his children, James Stephen Hussey and wife Christina, and Jared Phillip Hussey and wife Jamie, and his grandchildren, Jaxon (13), Jimmy (12), and Abby (6).

Farrell loved God, his family, and the deep satisfaction that comes from honest hard work. He found joy in simple labors: mowing yards, tending his garden, and washing cars. Known for his generosity, he received true happiness from sharing whatever brought him joy, whether it was his favorite flavors or a hearty laugh. A proud Tar Heels fan, he used the spirited college rivalry and his quick sense of humor to sweep his die-hard Blue Devils fan, Sandy, off her feet.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Smyrna Church in Robbins, NC, with Reverend Edwin Moore officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service in the Family Life Center and at other times at the home.

The family welcomes flowers, and memorials may also be made to the cemetery fund at Smyrna Church, P O Box 1661, Robbins, NC 27325.

Kennedy Funeral Home is serving the Hussey family.
