Tony Brown

Anthony Harris “Tony” Brown, 73, beloved son of the late Clyde Rufus Brown and Christine Burns Brown, of Robbins, North Carolina, departed to his heavenly home on September 3, 2026.

Tony was a 1973 graduate of North Moore High School. He worked during his youth at the family poultry farm and later in life with his father and Uncle, Roy H. Brown, at Brown Brothers Sawmilling. Tony also worked for Russell Hosiery Mills before his retirement. 

Tony was known for his kind, quiet, and peaceful personality and was happiest spending time at home driving his tractor and spending time with his family.  He was a fan of the Atlanta Braves and the Carolina Panthers.

In addition to his parents, Tony was predeceased by a sister, Gladys Jean Brown.

Surviving Tony are his loving sister and brother-in-law, Kathleen Brown Simmons and Charles W. Simmons, as well as numerous cousins who loved him greatly. 

A Graveside service will be 3:00 PM, Sunday, September 6, 2026, at Pleasant View Friends Church, with Reverend Quint Dunlap and Dr. Kenneth McNeill officiating.
