Resided in: Newton, NC

Allie Marissa Woodcock or affectionately known as Allie Mae and Allie Cat, 17, of Newton, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, September 6, 2026.

Allie was born in Moore County to Glenn “Butch” and Camilla “Cam” Woodcock on September 28, 2008. Full of life and laughter, her beautiful smile could brighten any room. She had a wonderful sense of humor and always knew how to make you laugh. Allie had a generous spirit, and a compassionate heart, always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.

She had a soft spot for animals and loved them as if they were family. Her pets included her cat, Delilah, dogs, Nautica and Mia and several chickens she enjoyed tending to.

Allie enjoyed the beach more than anything. She looked forward to the weekends where she would spend her mornings out on the water fishing with her dad aboard The Mighty Fin II. She celebrated every fish, big or small and they enjoyed their daily catch for dinner in the evenings surrounded by friends and family.

Allie cherished her family and always made time for them. She loved having a girls day with her mom. Getting their nails done, going to their favorite stores and ending the day with dinner together was a day well spent.

With only a few months remaining in high school, she was set to graduate in December. Because of her willingness to help others, she aspired to continue her education and become a therapist, helping those struggling with depression and other mental health conditions.

In addition to her parents she is survived by her brother, Joshua Woodcock; grandparents, Jerel and Dianne Laton, Glenn Woodcock Sr ; step-grandparents, Kim Woodcock and Carla Bovay; aunts and uncles, Kim and James Smith, Brian and Danielle Woodcock, David Woodcock, Jeremy and Amber Schwanger, Liam Vondrehle and Vanessa Vondrehle; cousins, Abbey and Jake Hoover, Jackson Hoover, Landon Smith, Diora Schwanger and Christina Woodcock; great-aunt, Nita Patterson and honorary aunts and uncles, Rebekkah and Jason Glass, Charles and LeighAnn Beaver, Christy and Jason Evans, Nicole Moose and Hez Overton. She also leaves behind many friends who were like family.

Allie is preceded in death by her grandparents, Elaine and Toby Schwanger; great- grandparents, Allie “Olene” Patterson and John Patterson and Fred and Bernice Woodcock and her great-great aunt and uncle Dorothy “Dot” and Irvin Priest.

Allie brought immense joy and sunshine to those she surrounded herself with and will be deeply missed each and every day.

If you or a loved one is struggling with mental health, know that you are not alone. In honor of Allie, check on those you love most and let them know you are there to support them.

  1. Cannot find words to express sympathy but know I’m lifting everyone up in prayers. A beautiful young lady and was
    Loved very much 🙏

  2. Allie was such a sweet girl. When she was little she would sing “Let it go”. She was artistic. Praying for your family. I am so sorry!!

  3. I am so very sorry to hear of Allie’s passing. Please know that I am praying for comfort as you go through this unimaginable loss of your precious daughter. Beautiful young lady!

  4. Oh, sweet Allie. My heart hurts knowing I won’t get another one of your hugs. I watched you grow from that sweet little girl into such a beautiful person, inside and out, and I’m so thankful I got to be part of your life. No matter how big you got, you always came running up to hug me when you came into work. You made me feel so loved every single time.

You gave me the name “Busy B,” and I will forever treasure that little piece of you. I wish I could hug you one more time and tell you how much you mean to me. I love you, sweet girl, and I’ll miss you more than words can say. My heart is with your family and everyone who loved you.

    Love always,
    Elizabeth- Your “Busy B” ❤️

  5. Allie gave the best hugs, and her smile would always light up the room.
She gave me the best compliment I’ve ever received one eve, saying “ You are aging like a fine wine!”
This from a young lady who did not drink wine.
Her light was so bright here on Earth, and shines on above. So wish she could have stayed here with us much longer, yet she lives in our hearts forever.

  6. To my beautiful bonus niece,

I still don’t know how to put into words what it feels like to know you’re no longer here. My heart aches in a way that words simply cannot explain. I would give anything for one more hug from you, one more conversation, one more laugh, and even one more of those moments when your funny sense of humor caught me completely off guard.

You were so incredibly smart, loving, and selfless. You had a heart that was bigger than you probably ever realized.

I will miss your hugs more than you know. I’ll miss your smile, your laugh, your personality, and the way you could make people laugh with that funny sense of humor of yours. I’ll miss simply knowing you were here.

You may have left this earth far too soon, but the love you gave will never leave us.
If love could have kept you here, you would have lived forever.

I love you more than words can say, sweet girl. I miss you more than my heart knows how to carry. Until I can hug you again, I’ll carry you with me every single day.

    Love you forever ❤️
