Lillie Margaret Pearson, age 72 of Sanford died Sunday (October 13, 2013) at her home.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday at Solid Rock Baptist Church in Sanford conducted by the Rev. Craig Dodson. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
A native of Lee County she was a daughter of the late Daniel Evander and Margaret Elizabeth Phillips Pearson.
Lillie lived and worked for many years in White Plains, NY before moving back to North Carolina. She retired as a physical therapist from Burke Rehabilitation Center in White Plains and has also received her masters degree in theology.
She is survived by her son: Stuart Pearson of Sanford; two sisters Mary Johnson and husband, Julius of Ruffin, NC, Dannie Pearson of Sanford; two aunts, Lugene Person of Carthage and Mae Person of Carthage; nephew Julius Johnson, Jr. and wife, Tabitha of Las Vegas, NV and many cousins and friends.
Fry and Prickett Funeral Home in Carthage is serving the Pearson family.
