Helen S. Caviness

CARTHAGE
Helen Styles Caviness, age 93, died on Saturday at FirstHealth Hospice House in Pinehurst.
A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM on Thursday, September 12th at Center United Methodist Church cemetery with the Rev. Scott McInnis and the Rev. Chester Little officiating.
A native of Buchanan, Michigan she was the daughter of the late Walter Albert Styles and Lucy Lolmaugh Styles. She graduated from St. Joseph Hospital in Mishawaka, Indiana Nursing School in 1941 and served three years, four months and 13 days in the US Army Nurse Corp during World War II. She is preceded in death by her husband, Lester Caviness.
She is survived by her daughter, Susanne Caviness of Bethesda, Maryland; a son, Wayne Caviness and wife, Lynn of Carthage; a brother, James Styles of New Jersey; a niece, Barbara Hodgson of Fayetteville; three grandchildren, Philip Caviness & wife, Candy; Stephen Caviness & wife, Melinda; Sarah Gilliam and husband, Freddy; and seven great-grandchildren, Matthew, Payton, Aaron, Chloe, Brenna, Grayson and Austin.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6:00-8:00 PM at Fry & Prickett Funeral Home in Carthage.
Rest in peace my dear friend. To a wonderful lady with the biggest heart of anyone I know. I will forever hold your memory,our good times, and our heart to heart talks in my heart. I love you
