Lillian May McDaniel. 85, of Whispering Pines died Monday July 22, 2013.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 25th at 4:00 p.m. at Cross Hill Cemetery in Carthage.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Thursday at Powell Funeral Home in Southern Pines.
Born June 1, 1928 in Newark, NJ she was a daughter of the late John and Marion McLaren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Phyllis Murphy and a brother, John McLaren, Jr.
Mrs. McDaniel was a Bookkeeper for Bowen Engineering Company in Bridgewater, NJ, Bill Smith Ford, and Champion Car Wash.
She is survived by her husband, Milford (Mac) McDaniel, one daughter, Maureen M. McCarthy and husband Michael of Carthage, one son, David McDaniel of Southern Pines, one sister, Joan Bullas, and one granddaughter, Ashley V. McDaniel of Charlotte.
