Lawrence Turner Brown 74, died Thursday, May 9, 2013 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital, Pinehurst, NC.
Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, May 12, 2013 at Unity Grove Baptist Church, with the Reverend Terry Warren and Reverend Ralph VonCannon officiating.
Mr. Brown was a native of Moore County. He worked in the poultry industry for many years. He was a son of the late Oscar Colon and Blevin Smith Brown, and was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Jordan Brown.
Lawrence is survived by sons: Tony Vest and wife Charlotte, of Robbins, Jimmy Brown, of Robbins; daughters: Patricia McCaskill and husband Richard, of Carthage, Sharon Lucas, of Robbins, sister: Jessie Lee Brown, of Troy; 13 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM on Saturday, May 11, 2013 at Kennedy Funeral Home in Robbins and other times at the home.
Memorials may be made to: Unity Grove Baptist Church, 849 Mount Carmel Road, Carthage, NC 28327.
Kennedy Funeral Home is assisting the Brown family.
