Betty Mae Waldeck Lohmiller, 87, died Wednesday March 6, 2013 at the FirstHealth Hospice House in Pinehurst.
A celebration of Betty's life will be held at the Country Club of Whispering Pines in April.
Born February 18, 1926 in Lyndhurst, New Jersey.
She was the daughter of the late Edward and Elizabeth Waldeck and wife of the late Roy Vernon Lohmiller. She was preceded in death by a sister, Rose Louise Edwards.
Before coming to North Carolina she was a bookkeeper for Bell Telephone in New Jersey.
A resident of Whispering Pines for over 35 year she was an active member in the community working at the World Golf Hall of Fame,The Thrift Shop of Whispering Pines and she was a member of The Country Club of Whispering Pines.
She is survived by her sister-in-law, Lorraine of Chicago, Ill, two nieces, two nephews and several grandnieces and grandnephews.
