Helen Burns Williams 88, formerly of Robbins, passed away Saturday, January 26, 2013 at St. Joseph's of the Pines, Southern Pines, NC.
Funeral Service will be conducted 2:00 PM, Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at Pleasant View Friends Church, 13942 NC Hwy. 24/27, Eagle Springs, where she was a faithful member since 1941, with the Reverend Jacelyn Jones officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Kennedy Funeral Home in Robbins from 6 to 8 PM Tuesday, January 29, 2013.
In addition to her mother, Cleta Burns, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Shelton Williams and her daughter, Delilah Ann Williams.
Helen was born October 28, 1924 in Randolph County. She was an accomplished seamstress and quilter. She was always discovering new talents. She enjoyed sewing doll clothes, embroidery, knitting, crocheting and cross stitching.
Helen is survived by sister-in-law: Hazel Williams Brown and husband Russell, of Eagle Springs, Blennie Williams, of Eagle Springs, Faye Williams, of Eagle Springs, Lessie Williams, of Eagle Springs, many nephews, nieces, cousins and caregivers Kathleen and Charles Simmons.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at St. Joseph's of the Pines for all the care and love shown to Helen for the past 6 years. A special thanks to nurses, Cindy Robinson, Pat Wolf and Nurse Practitioner Ann Oakley.

Helen always said she was my 2nd mama and to me and David she was. She baby sat us when we were little and lets us know she would spank us if we miss behaved. She and Shell let us know how much they cared for us I will miss Helen very much.
