Lilly Bibey Nance, age 93 formerly of Carthage went to be with her Lord and Savior Saturday (November 9, 2013) at her daughters residence where she had been living for the past 12 years.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday at Holly Grove Primitive Baptist Church. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 1:00 PM.
Born in Moore County she was the last living of 10 children born to the late Joel Samuel and Dealie Kiser Bibey. She was also preceded in death by her first husband Carl R. Whitaker, a son Gary 'Bucky' Whitaker, a grandson Steven Whitaker, two great granddaughters Lillyana and Emily, and her second husband Rev. Gurney E. Nance.
She is survived by: a daughter Charlotte 'Patti' Strickland of Hamptonville, NC; sons Randy Whitaker and Timothy Whitaker both of Grovetown, GA; 10 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
Fry and Prickett Funeral Home in Carthage is serving the Nance family.
