Carlton Lee Cole, Jr., age 82 of 2531 Linden Road, died Thursday at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 P. M. Saturday at Doub's Chapel United Methodist Church conducted by the Rev. Eric Joyce. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
A native of Moore County, he was a son of the late Carlton Lee Cole and Margaret Alice McKenzie Cole. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army where he was awarded the Purple Heart. A retired U. S. Mail carrier, he was also a retired farmer and enjoyed his vegetable garden and flower garden. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister Dorothy Cole Bryant.
He is survived by: his wife Millie Black Cole; a daughter Sharon Hussey and husband Jimmy, a son Darrell Cole and wife Teresa all of Aberdeen; a brother Jerry Cole of West End; four grandchildren Jonathan Hussy, Jo-Anna Hussey, Jason Cole and Sara Cole.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 —8:00 P. M. Friday at Fry and Prickett Funeral Home in Carthage.
