Ruby Crabtree Maness, age 85 of Mt. Carmel Road died Saturday (January 18, 2014) at Peak Resources - Pinelake in Carthage.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday at Unity Grove Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Terry Warren and the Rev. Jimmy Shirlan. Burial will follow at Pine Rest Cemetery in Robbins.
A native of Moore County and a daughter of the late Andrew and Sarah Sheffield Crabtree, Ruby worked in textiles most of her life and in later years did private duty work.
She was preceded in death by: her husband Eugene G. Maness; two sisters and four brothers.
She is survived by: daughter Shirley Caddell and husband Wayne of Carthage; sons Garry L. Maness and wife Gayle of Carthage, Ronald C. Maness of Eagle Springs, Donnie R. Maness and wife Viola of Robbins, Dwight R. Maness of Robbins; brothers Curtis Crabtree of Carthage, Carlton Crabtree of Indiana; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at Kennedy Funeral Home from 6:00 - 8:00 PM Monday and other times at the home.
