Madeline G. Matey, 96, formerly of Pinehurst, died Thursday Feb, 26 in Dearborn Michigan where she had lived for the last 18 years.

 

A funeral mass will be 11:00 am Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park in Southern Pines.

 

Madeline and her late husband Joseph Matey lived in Moore County for several years and were active in the community. After Joseph death Madeline move to Michigan.

 

She is survived by: daughters Patricia Lewis and husband Steve of Southport, NC; Sandra Barbara and husband John of Bradenton, FL; Cynthia Kubinski and husband Jim of Greensboro, GA; her sons, Donald Matey and wife Carolyn of Strongsville, OH; Richard Matey and wife Carol of Strongsville, OH;13 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.
