Thelma Clohossey

Thelma Locklear Clohossey of Pinehurst passed away Friday (August 14, 2015) after a brief illness.
A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM Friday at Pinelawn Memorial Park in Southern Pines. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:30 - 1:30 at Powell Funeral Home.
A native of Lumberton she was a daughter of the late Dock E. and Mary Lowery Locklear.
Thelma was a beautician for over 60 years and enjoyed working every day. She also enjoyed gardening, crafts and spending time with family.
She was preceded in death by: her husband Joseph E. Clohossey; daughter Elizabeth Ann Clohossey; son in law Paul R. Grogan; brothers Stancil Locklear, Lawrence Locklear; sister Annie R. Craig; brothers in law Ralph Craig, Al Allison Wayne Stroupe; sisters in law Maeo Locklear, Linda Locklear.
She is survived by: daughter Brenda Grogan of Whitman, MA, Pamela Reese and husband Kenneth of Sherrill, NY; brothers Charles Locklear of Warren, MI, Louis Locklear and wife Barbara of Lumberton, Grover Locklear and wife Joanne of Lumberton, Dock Locklear, Jr. and wife Vivian of Lumberton; sisters Betty J. Allison of Lumberton, Mary E. Stroupe of Belmont, Bonita K. Freeman and husband Gerald of Fairmont; three grandchildren and five great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Thelma was such a wonderful lady and a great neighbor – always enjoyed stopping over to see her. So many great memories of her and her dog Rocky. She will truly be missed. Much love and prayers to her family.
