Dora Sweat Faville, age 86, died Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at Elmcroft Assisted Living in Southern Pines.
A funeral mass is planned for 10:00 am on Thursday at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Southern Pines. Burial will follow at Cross Hill Cemetery in Carthage. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6:00-8:00 pm at Fry and Prickett Funeral Home in Carthage.
A native of Suez, Egypt she was the daughter of the late Matteo and Irma Mazzella Mele. She retired from Pinehurst Surgical Clinic as a medical technician. She was preceded in death by husbands, Ted Sweat and Richard Faville and one sister, Egidia Pereno.
Survivors include two sons, Marshall Sweat & wife, Sharon of West End and Rodney Sweat & wife, Carol of West End; one sister, Maria Lucchesi of Sao Paulo, Brazil; three grandchildren, Jessica Mann, Meredith Sweat and Jeremy Sweat; and one great-granddaughter, Emma Mann.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Firsthealth Hospice, 150 Applecross Road, Pinehurst, NC 28374

So sorry to hear about Dora! What a sweet lady! I worked with her at PSC in the Head & Neck Dept. Gut to meet her twin sister back then! She was so sweet when she met and married Mr. Faville! Was always traveling! Gods blessings on her family!
