Kenneth W. Sheppard, age 84 of Glendon died Saturday (January 14, 2017) at his home.
Funeral services will be 11:00 Monday at Glendon Independent Christian Church conducted by the Rev. Jack Phillips and Rev. Brian Bean.. The family will receive friends at the church starting at 10:00 and following the service in the fellowship hall.
A native of Moore County he was a son of the late Waldo and Vergie Forrest Sheppard and was a US Army veteran of the Korean War. He worked in golf course maintenance at Pinehurst, Seven Lakes, Mid Pines and Pine Needles.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years Doris Phillips Sheppard; daughters Cindy Ward and husband Ron of Pinehurst, Jane Stewart and husband Rodney of Glendon; brother James Sheppard of Greensboro; grandchildren Jonathan Stewart and wife Abby, Elizabeth Parnell and husband Brandon; great grandchildren Haley Futrell and Bella Parnell.
