Peter Richard Sweet, 66, died January 20, 2017 at Pinehurst Health and Rehab in Pinehurst, NC.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Born in Providence, RI to the late Alvin and Barbara Sweet, he was a US Air Force veteran of the Vietnam war.
He is survived by a son Jason Sweet and wife Cassonia of Pinebluff NC; daughter Sandra Ritter and husband Adam of MS; and eight grandchildren. Memorials to the Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka Kansas, 66675 Powell Funeral Home and Crematory of Southern Pines is assisting the family.
