Mary Lewis Shreve 92, passed away Saturday, February 18, 2017, surrounded by her family.  

Funeral Service will be 11:00 AM, Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at Pleasant View Friend Church, where she was a member, with the Reverend Jacelyn Jones and Dr. John Williams officiating.  Burial will follow in Pine Rest Cemetery.  

Esther was a native of Ohio and a graduate of Asbury College with a Bachelor Degree in Education. She was a teacher and principal for over 45 years.  She also served the Lord, along with her husband, the late Pastor Lynn  Shreve in many churches in the United States and Canada.  Esther was a right hand for Pastor Shreve, playing the piano, handling youth retreats, and so many other things, in over 65 years of ministry. She loved music and enjoyed teaching piano. Time spent with her family and friends brought joy to her heart.  

Esther was a daughter of the late Nicolas Alexander and Florence Elizabeth Naylor Lewis and was preceded in death by husband, Pastor Lynn Shreve; brother: Robert Lewis.

Esther is survived by son: Stan Shreve and wife Judy, of Snow Camp; grandchildren: Tania Taylor and husband Eddie, Nicole Shreve, Brent Shreve and wife Melissa; great grandchildren: Norman Taylor, Liz Wilson, Kayla Wilson, Myriah Taylor, Lilley Taylor, Eli Taylor.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM on Monday, February 20, 2017 at Kennedy Funeral Home, Robbins, NC.
