Nellie Maness Cole

Funeral Service will be 2:00 PM, Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at Putnam Friends Church, with the Reverend Billy Joe Brady officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Nellie was a native of Moore County. She worked in the poultry industry for many years and was a homemaker. Nellie enjoyed trips to the mountains, cooking family meals, quilting and sewing. Most of all she loved her family and enjoyed time spent with them. Nellie was a daughter of the late Clifford and Glennie Stutts Maness and was preceded in death by great granddaughter Samantha Powers; siblings: Helen Maness Garner, Joseph Earl Maness, William Harold Maness, Frank Maness, Jack Maness.
Nellie is survived by daughters: Linda Ashworth; Tammie Garner; sons: Jimmy Kennedy and wife Becky, Joseph Romero; 9 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren; siblings: Rachel Maness Bailey, Eugene Maness and wife Janet; many nieces, nephews and friends.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at Kennedy Funeral Home and at other times at the home of Jimmy and Becky Kennedy, 985 Putnam Church Road, Carthage, NC.
