Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at Kennedy Funeral Home, with the Reverend Gene Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Pinerest Cemetery.
Jerry worked in the textile industry for many years. Jerry loved to read, especially the Bible and western novels. He enjoyed trading guns and meeting people that enjoyed guns. Jerry loved his family and enjoyed time spent with them. He was a son of the late Carthell and Mildred Beck Garner and was preceded in death by daughter: Tammy Hussey.
Jerry is survived by son: Dale Garner and wife Patsy; sister: Carolyn Hilliard; nephew: Kenneth Hilliard and many friends.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM on Monday, October 2, 2017 at Kennedy Funeral Home, Robbins, NC.

I was sorry to hear of the passing of Jerry. I went to church with him at Grace Baptist Temple several years ago. Jerry was a fine man. Heaven gained a a special man. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.
