Ressie Crabtree

Ressie Atkins Crabtree, 95 of Carthage died Monday, December 25, 2017 at her home.
Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Thursday at Lamm’s Grove Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery conducted by the Rev. Arnold Comer.
A native of Surry County she was the last surviving daughter of the late Luther and LaTisha Carlisle Atkins. Ressie farmed and was a homemaker for many years. She also worked at the Country Club of North Carolina, Quality Mills and Wrenn Electronics.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters and a son-in-law Lacy Dunn.
She is survived by her husband of 76 years Curtis Crabtree; daughter Doris Dunn of Carthage; son Michael Crabtree and wife Cindy of Cameron; grandchildren Michael Dunn and Michelle Dunn; great-grandchildren Sabrina, Cody and Mikayla.
The family will receive friends at Fry & Prickett Funeral Home on Wednesday from 6:00 – 8:00 PM and other times at the home.
