Elzy Lee Hancock

Elzy Hancock, age 84 of Carthage died Thursday, March 29, 2018 at Peak Resources-Pinelake in Carthage.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Monday at Fry & Prickett Funeral Home. The family will receive friends prior to the service at 10:00 and following the service.

A native of Montgomery County he was a son of the late Remus and Maude Hancock. Elzy worked most of his life as a carpenter.

He was preceded in death by his wife Rachel Hancock; a daughter Wanda Hancock Altman and a son Daris Hancock.

He is survived by his son Eddie Hancock of Carthage; sister Della Gillis of Steeds; grandchildren Lance Nooe of Raleigh and Bridget Hitchcock of Seagrove.
