Louvene Myrick Mathews, age 89, of Carthage, died Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at PEAK Resources Pinelake.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Friday, March 15, 21019 at Calvary Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Todd Moore. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
A native of Moore County, she was the daughter of the late Brady and Myrtle Moore Flinchum. She retired from Moore County DSS as a supervisor for in home services. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her three sons Brent Myrick, Jeff Myrick and Tim Myrick; brothers Johnnie Flinchum and Eugene Flinchum.
She is survived by two sisters, Johnsie F. Harkins of Cary, Phyllis Phillips and husband Lee of Bear Creek; brothers, Phillip Flinchum of Cary, Mitchell Flinchum and wife Gwen of West Palm Beach, FL; three grandsons, Evin Myrick and wife Chelsey of Carthage, Jason Myrick of Carthage and Heath Myrick of Florida; great-grandson Tatum; daughters-in-law Linda Myrick and Donna Myrick.
