Brenda Kay Brewer, 57, passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2019 at FirstHealth Hospice House, surrounded by her family..
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM on Wednesday, July 24, 2019 at Dover Baptist Church, with the Reverend Chris Bouldin officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Brenda was a native of Moore County. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother, who enjoyed time spent with her family. Brenda graduated from Randolph Community College, with a degree in Nursing. She worked for 25 years at Randolph Hospital as an ICU nurse, and loved her work. Brenda enjoyed home improvement projects, jigsaw puzzles, her pets and traveling. She touched the lives of many with her giving heart and kind soul. Brenda was a daughter of the late Gurney Clinton and Helen Kennedy Brewer and was preceded in death by husband: Terry Martin; son: Jeffery Martin.
Brenda is survived by sons: Anthony Blalock and wife Casey, of Robbins, Terry Andrew Martin and girlfriend Brianna Dechaine, of South Portland, ME., daughter: Brandi Hussey, of Robbins, grandchildren: Cheyenne, Emma, Carman, Blaze, Bentley, Gabriella; sisters: Tammy Long and husband Brian, Robin Hancock and husband Chris, Ronda Garner and husband Eddie; brothers: WT Brewer and wife Linda, Dean Brewer and many nieces, nephews and friends.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 PM, Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at Kennedy Funeral Home and at other times at the home.
