Mrs Helen Maness Hussey

February 27, 1935 ~ January 26, 2020
Helen Maness Hussey, 84, passed away Sunday, January 26, 2020 at FirstHealth Hospice House, Pinehurst, NC.
Funeral service will be 2:00 PM, Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at Smyrna United Methodist Church, where she was a member, with the Reverend Vic Hill officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 1:00 PM and following the service in the Family Life Center.
A native of Moore County and a graduate of Elise High School. She was a loving daughter, wife, mother and grandmother. She worked in the textile industry and was a homemaker. Helen enjoyed caring for her home, being outdoors working in her flower garden, taking walks and just being in God’s creation. She loved the Lord, her church and Sunday School class. Helen believed in the power of prayer and encouraged others to be praying people. She liked to read and especially loved reading her Bible. Helen was the daughter of the late Theodore and Flossie Maness and was preceded in death by brothers: Ed Maness, Charles “Sonny” Maness; sister: Annie Maness.
Helen is survived by husband of 60 years Charles; sons: Stanley Hussey, Bradley Hussey and wife Rose; daughter: Laura Lea Hussey Hamilton and husband Mark; grandchildren: Mike Moore, Matthew Hussey, Andrea Hussey, Heather Hussey, Sarah Ann Hamilton, Lydia Hamilton, Rachel Hamilton, Dylan Hunter Hussey, Bella Nevaeh Hussey; sister: Lucy Matthews and many nieces, nephews and friends.
