Jo Ann Garzo

Jo Ann Garzo, age 77, passed away on Saturday, December 25, 2021, at the UNC Medical Center in Chapel Hill. She was born in 1944, in Queens, NY. She was the daughter of Joseph Buzze and Ann Mallon. Jo Ann went to boarding school in New York where she always said she had the time of her life. She had many friends there and was known as happy go lucky. Jo Ann worked for the state of New Jersey for over 25 years where she was a secretary, she loved to type and help people. Jo Ann was an animal activist and loved all animals dearly. She gave to many charities freely and wholeheartedly. Jo Ann loved church services very much and attended when her health allowed. Jo Ann leaves behind the father of her children, Ross Garzo of North Carolina, her son Anthony Garzo and wife Belinda of Sanford North Carolina, grandchildren Mikey( Alexis), Chrissy( Diego)and Corey McFarland. And great grandchildren Brelynn McFarland and Alexandria Melgar Amaya. Friends and family are invited to the service on Friday, January 7th, at Halls Memorial Church at 2:30 pm.
