Maxima Sagaral Uy, age 76 of Sanford and formerly of the Philippines died Thursday, January 6, 2022 at Central Carolina Hospital in Sanford.
Maxima was born in Guindulman Bohol, Philippines on December 27, 1945 to the late Victoriano and Patricia Sagaral, she owned and operated a small grocery store in the Philippines and in 2018 moved to the United States where she lived with her daughter and son in law in Sanford.
She was preceded in death by her husband Benjamin Uy, Sr.; brother Romy Sagaral; son Elbert Uy, step son Renato Uy.
She is survived by her daughters Annie Rosa Sineath and husband Ronald of Sanford, Farah Mae Williamson of Cameron, Marife Sagaral Brown of Sanford; Maribel U. Obedencio; step daughters Carmelita Jacson, Marina Uy; sons Benjamin Uy, Jr., Mario S. Uy, Christopher S. Uy; sisters Anita Sagaral, Erinda Timbal, Lorenza Magaron, Teofila Ampolouou all of Gingoog City, Philippines.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Monday at Summer Hill Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Arnold Comer. The family will receive friends at Fry & Prickett Funeral Home on Sunday from 4:00 – 6:00 PM.
