Johnny D. Davis, 62, passed away Monday, February 1, 2022 at First Health Moore Regional Hospital. 

Johnny graduated from West Montgomery High School. He worked as a truck driver for Harris Trucking for fourteen years. He loved his job and was skilled at spreading rock on driveways for his customers. He was also talented in painting and refinishing furniture and cabinets. He was a hard worker and enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. He also enjoyed flying remote control airplanes. He was a member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church in Robbins. He was known as the “Hot Dog Chef” for many church events. He always had a quick smile and was always willing to help anyone who needed him. Johnny was the son of the late Ed Davis and Martha Davis. He was preceded in death by two sisters- Joby Davis and Betty Jean Batten.

Johnny is survived by his wife Debbie; children: Justin Davis, Christy Detter and husband Justin, and Suzannah Davis; grandchildren- Zoey Detter and Logan Detter; sister: Shirley Woody; brother: Ted Davis; many nieces, nephews and friends. 

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, February 6, 2022 at 3 p.m. at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church, 1595 North Moore Road,  Robbins, NC,  where he was a long time member. 

The family requests that masks be worn in the sanctuary. The service will also be broadcast on 102.7 in the church parking lot.
