Tamara Cagle Lee

March 17, 1965 ~ February 26, 2024
Born in:
Pinehurst, NC
Resided in:
Seven Lakes, NC
Tamara Cagle Lee, age 58 of Seven Lakes passed away peacefully Monday, February 26, 2024 at her home following a hard fought battle with cancer.
A native of Moore County she was a daughter of Larry Norman Cagle and Diana Howard Williamson. Tamara was a graduate of Appalachian State University where she received a Bachelors of Science in Education and Master’s of Arts in Reading.
Tamara was also a seasoned educator, with 30 years of service to Moore County Schools as National Board Certified language arts and history teacher. Tamara was well known for her love of music, and incredible talent at playing the organ and piano, on which she would accompany the Carthage United Methodist Church choir, directed by her husband Edward, every Sunday as a devoted member and friend. In her free time, Tamara enjoyed regular tennis with a group of her dear friends, reading classical literature, and traveling to the mountains and the beach with her wonderful family and friends. At home, Tamara was known by many more than her children, to be an incredible mother. As the world’s best cook, advice-giver, and listening ear, Tamara raised her three daughters and many of their close friends. In addition to being a wonderful mother, friend, teacher and mentor, Tamara was, above nearly all, the best friend and loving wife of Edward Lee. Having loved him “all her life”, Tamara and Edward made an ever-famous duo. Always together, they created a loving home, a powerful church music program, and the best example of a happy, life-giving marriage. Tamara will be dearly missed on this Earth by every one of her students, her family and her friends until they are reunited again in the loving presence of our Lord.
Tamara is survived by her husband Edward H. Lee; daughters, Kinsey Lee Davenport and husband Aaron, Rebekah Lee Ritter and husband Justin, Anna Stanton Lee; sister Shannon Diana Cagle; mother Diana Howard Williamson and father Larry Norman Cagle.

So sorry for your loss.
I am so sorry to learn of the loss of your sweet wife and mama. What an awesome educator she was and evidently as validated in her obituary and awesome mother, wife, and friend. I know your hearts are breaking for her early loss. She is among the heavenly angels now. Bless you all and may our Lord and Savior be with you and provide peace to you in the days ahead. Peace and Love, Cat McRae

My heart hurts today as I know your hearts are completely broken. Tamara was taken from us all way too early. She lived the life of a saint. She was an amazing educator and I admired her so much! I enjoyed every day that I got to work with her. She was one of kind. I loved her wit and her humor (that you had to listen closely to in order be sure you caught exactly what she was saying to you). I always told her that she was so good with words that she could tell someone off and they didn’t figure it out until hours later! She has left her legacy with her three girls that will continue to show the world how great of a mom they had. Edward, my heart breaks for you and the days and months ahead that you will spend finding a new normalcy without your life partner. Ricky and I are here for you or the girls if you need absolutely anything.
Love, Ricky and Monica
Edward and family, I am so heartbroken to hear about Tamara’s passing. I remember meeting Tamara at Aberdeen Middle many years ago. Then again at West Pine Middle. We hit it off from the first time we met. I have to say she had to be the most creative, caring teacher I knew. She touched so many lives in such a positive way. Tamara was an inspiration to us all the way she so boldly and courageously lived her life. I just loved talking to her and being in her presence. I know she will be missed by so many who loved her…me being one. My heart goes out to you and the girls as you begin your journey without Tamara. I will continue to keep your family in my prayers during this difficult time. God bless you all. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
We wanted to write and let you know that you, and your family are in our prayers right now. We realize that there are no words that We could write or say to make things better, but please accept our sincerest condolences on the loss of your loved one Tamara!
