Ada Francis Tillman Black, 80, of Carthage passed away on Saturday February 13, 2021 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.
A graveside service will be held at Center United Methodist Church Cemetery on Friday February 19 at 2pm with Pastor James Brewer officiating. A floating visitation will be held at Fry and Prickett Funeral Home on Thursday February 18th from 2-5pm.
Ada was born of the late Neal Blue Tillman and Fannie Bryant on October 19, 1940. A loving mother of four children, she was known for her cooking and taking care of her family. Those who knew her will always cherish the memories of her making homemade biscuits and pinto beans.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husbands; Leon Venable and JR Black, sister; Maxine Jones, son; Rickie Venable, grandchildren; Cynthia Ann Venable and Shannon Eads.
She is survived by her sisters; Patricia Bailey and Artheliea Edwards, children; Kim Blue Venable, Gilbert T. Venable, Debra Bailey, grandchildren; Debbie Lynn Gilbert, Gilbert Shane Venable, Jeremy Twain Jones, great-grandchildren; Sieria Renee Gilbert and Tyler Gilbert.
