Alba Dolores Morley

alba morley

Mrs. Alba Morley of Pinebluff passed away on Friday, September 6, 2019, in FirstHealth Moore Regional at the age of 79.

Mrs. Morley was born in Bridgeport, CT on July 14, 1940, to the late Gene and Antoinette Cocco Sannino. Alba and her husband visited Moore County in the late 1980s and enjoyed the mild winters of the Sandhills and in 1988 decided to call Pinebluff home. She enjoyed riding horses and drag racing with her husband, alternating their time to drive. Her big thrill was “beating the boys” on the drag strip. Alba and George enjoyed 48 years of marriage together. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Donna Applebee; her brothers, Carl Sannino, Rudy Sannino, and Lenny Sannino.

She leaves behind her husband, George of Pinebluff; her sister in law, Joanne Morley-Folsom and her husband, Gary of Fayetteville; her brother in law, John Morley, Jr. of Fairfield, CT; her nephew, John Morley III of Fairfield, CT and her niece, Regina Tweed of Glendale, AZ.

The family will celebrate Alba’s life at a later time.

Care of the family is entrusted to Crumpler Funeral Home of Aberdeen. Online condolences may be made at crumplerfhaberdeen.com

  1. I’m am so sorry to hear this. This wonderful lady has a special place in my heart. From the days of watching me as a kid to the nights of cards and bingo. She will be missed. Rest In Peace Dolores. My sincere condolences to George and her family.

  2. Sorry for your loss. I am widow of George Sedgwick (78). He passed in February. I saw the notice on Facebook that Joanne posted. I remember George telling me that Dolores was quite the girl back in the day! He really liked her when they were kids. A fun cousin.  A sad year for all of us.
