Alberta P. Norton, 92, died Sunday June 30, 2013 at Pinelake Rehabilitation in Carthage.
The family will be receiving friends from 12-1 pm on Friday July 5th at Powell Funeral Home and Crematory in Southern Pines.
A graveside service will follow at 2pm at Johnson Grove Cemetery in Vass NC. with the Rev. Douglas Kelly officiating.
Born April 6, 1921 in Moore County she was a daughter of the late Eugene and Mary Oldham Patterson and wife of the late Angus Norton.
Mrs. Norton is survived by many nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to Union Presbyterian Church, 200 Union Church Road, Cameron, NC 28326.
Powell Funeral Home and Crematory of Southern Pines is assisting the family.

Beautiful Lady. I remember what impact she had on my life.Mrs Norton made sure i got baptized.She use to pick me up every Sunday for church. My thoughts and prayers goes out to the family.She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
A beautiful lady, who will be missed by many. Always so full of life and energy. She and Angus were witnessed for my Dad and Mom to be married. Heaven has another angel.
