Anne Louise Dandar of Southern Pines, after reaching the glorious age of 90 and bravely fighting cancer during her last year of life, asked her Lord to take her home and quietly passed over to her heavenly place on Friday (February 12, 2016). Anne was called a “ living saint ” by those who knew her well and were inspired by her devout faith.
Father Andrew McNair will officiate the funeral mass of “Queen Anne” on Monday at 10:00 AM . at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Pinelawn Cemetery where she will be interned next to her beloved husband, Arthur, of 51 years.
A native of Pennsylvania and a diehard Steeler fan (re: “Steeler Fan Coaches Ben 2015” on YouTube), Anne, the daughter of the late John and Theresa Stokan Seboly, was a registered pediatric nurse and mother of five children.
She was preceded in death by: her husband Arthur V. Dandar; siblings Nick Seboly, Mary Seboly, Frances Seboly, Barb Seboly, Rose Pecak, Catherine Gallagher, and Theresa Reynolds.
She is survived by: her five children Dr. Laura Smith and husband Russell of Odessa, FL, Ken Dandar and wife Lauren of St. Petersburg, FL, Sharon Dandar of Southern Pines, Thomas Dandar and wife Debra of St. Petersburg, FL, Allison Melvin and husband Alan of Southern Pines; ten grandchildren: Christina, James, John, Angela, Debbie, Tim, Kirstyn, Matthew, Joseph and Emily; and two great grandchildren: Lucas and Brody.
