Arnetta Marsh McKinnon, age 82 of Carthage died  Saturday, October 10, 2015 at her home.

 

Funeral services will be held at 2 :00 PM Friday, October 16, 2015 at First Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Ingram Branch Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Carthage.

 

A native of Moore County, she was a daughter of the late Ralph and Louvena Marsh. Arnetta loved the Lord and her church, where she taught Sunday School.  Arnetta was a loving wife mother and grandmother. She loved to garden, cook and preserve the things grown from her garden.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Clayton Alexander McKinnon, Sr.; daughter Sharon Vamper and husband Percy; son in law Linwood Tuck and 11 siblings.

 

Arnetta is survived by daughters: Angela Chambers and husband John Sr., of Freeport, NY, Dixie Malloy and husband Willie, of Carthage, Barbara Wrencher and husband Ken, of Carthage, Karen Tuck, of Carthage; sons: Clayton McKinnon, Jr. and wife Juliet, of Clayton, Michael Anthony McKinnon and wife Brenda, of Hanover, MD, Jerry Lee McKinnon and wife Christina, of Carthage, Ronnie Eugene McKinnon, of Carthage; 16 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren.  

 

The family will receive friends at Fry & Prickett Funeral Home in Carthage from 6:00 - 8:00 PM Thursday, October 15, 2105 and other times at the home.
