Arte Knibbs

Arte Theodore Knibbs 69, died Friday November 23, 2012 at his home in Pinehurst. Born in Harlem New York September 25, 1943. He was the son of Arthur Knibbs of Pinehurst and the late Lulu Knibbs.
Mr. Knibbs worked many different jobs in his life including a broker at Merrill Lynch, a legal assistant and was department manager
at Alexanders Department stores in New York. He had a passion for singing jazz and could often be heard at the Pinecrest Inn in Pinehurst.
In addition to his father, Mr Knibbs is survived by his brothers
Dr. Lester Allyson Knibbs of Hoffman, and Wadi Abdul-Haleem of Southern Pines.
A visitation will be held at Powell Funeral Home in Southern Pines Tuesday November 27 from 2-4 in the afternoon.
