Betty Lee Taylor Yow, age 86 of Cameron passed away Thursday (March 31, 2016).
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Sunday at Emmanuel Baptist Church conducted by Pastor Eugene Ussery. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
A native of Moore County she was a daughter of the late Howard and Lucy Dennis Marsh. Betty worked for Pioneer Insurance Agency (now Agency One) for many years. She was a charter member of Emmanuel Baptist Church and for several years she worked as the church secretary and also served and the church pianist.
She was preceded in death by: her son Alex Taylor; sisters Myrtle Ashburn and Estelle Gatewood; two grandsons Jason Taylor and Steven Whitaker.
She is survived by: her children Glenda Wilson and husband Hal of Cameron, Gail Davis and husband Mike of Cameron; Sammy Taylor and wife Jamie of Vass, David Taylor and wife Joyce of Carthage, Jenny Thomas and husband Eddie of West End; brother Pastor Bob Marsh of Asheboro; 22 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at Emmanuel Baptist Church from 6:00 - 8:00 PM Saturday.
