Beverly Ann Lois Blake

Beverly Ann Lois Blake, age 87, died on September 2, 2019, at her home in Pinehurst, NC.

She was born in Worcester, Massachusetts and graduated from Marlborough High School in 1949. A fiercely independent woman, Beverly struck out at a young age to pursue her career and eventually start a family. She enjoyed gardening, cross-stitching, traveling, square dancing, and listening to Willie Nelson. She was especially fond of Holden Beach, NC, spending many summers there with her loved ones. She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert Fraser and Laurette Alice Houle, husband Shelly Wayne Blake, her son Steve Woodrow, and her granddaughter, Amber Dawn Lutz.

Beverly is survived by her dear friend Stephen Leroy Willet; daughters, Becky Laurette Blake, Shelly Blake Bydlinski, and Karen Rain Lipson, as well as several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Beverly will be remembered for her passionate spirit, sharp wit, intellect, and beauty.
