Burl Eugene Hardy Jr, at the age of 55, passed away on October 10th, 2020 at 11:40 PM surrounded by his mother and his three children while listening to Journey music play.

Burl was born in Moore County on May 18, 1965, to the late Burl Eugen and Betty Jean Hazelwood Hardy. Along with his father, Burl was preceded in death by two of his brothers, Daryl and Eddie. He is survived by his children: Elizabeth, DJ, and Anna Jean, his mother: Betty Jean, his brother: Al, his granddaughter, Kiya who was the light of his life, and an enormous amount of family and friends that loved him dearly. He will forever be known for his love for his babies and his momma, making others feel loved, doing anything for anybody he knew, his easy laughter, and his love for the Philadelphia Eagles, the Carolina Panthers, the Tar Heels, and all things Journey.

The family would like to extend our sincere thanks to all of the wonderful nurses at The Hospice House that took such great care of him in his last hours and all of the doctors and nurses at Moore Regional Hospital. The family would also like to thank the wonderful people at Crumpler Funeral Home-Aberdeen for being so kind and helpful.

The Memorial service will be held at Ives Memorial Baptist Church on November 8th at 12:30 for anybody who would like to come.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Betty Jean Hardy at 212 Heflin Road, Aberdeen, NC 28315.

    We go way back, as long as I can remember. No matter where I saw you you always had a Hug for each other and My Daughter was about 5 or 6 yrs old and she just turned 37 so we known each other for just over 30 yrs. In that process you have meet her daughter and then you meet her son and they both Loved you Dearly. Always giving Hugs and playing the Journey Music.
    Beth and I would go to Journey concerts and always bring you something back. Because you were in Our Music Group of Lovin Journey!!!!!!
